Lead Service Designer

At Veltech, you join a multidisciplinary team (designers, researchers, strategists, developers) to build digital services that genuinely work. You step in from the scoping of complex problems through to production, always keeping the balance between the user, the business and operations in mind. You connect the dots: teams, systems, channels and touchpoints.

• Lead service design on transformation projects while staying fully embedded in the team
• Frame problems, define opportunity spaces and set a clear, actionable direction
• Produce the useful artifacts (service blueprints, journey maps, system maps) to align stakeholders and move decisions forward
• Think in systems: connecting user needs, business goals, process, technology and data
• Work with delivery teams to ship services that are feasible and scalable
• Run workshops, bring clients on board and facilitate the conversation
• Spot opportunities, feed business proposals and mentor other designers

• Proven experience leading service design on complex services or programs
• A pragmatic approach, comfortable with ambiguity and able to give shape to the unclear
• A flexible skill set: service design, CX, UX, research, product or strategy
• Strong systems thinking, connecting experience, operations, technology and data
• Genuine facilitation and stakeholder-management skills
• Commercial sense: you know how to spot and grow opportunities
